Who ARE these people?

Have you ever wondered why you have to interact with certain people at work?

  • What are their motives?
  • Should you trust them?
  • What do they expect from you?
  • Why is every interaction so awkward?

Sometimes it is difficult to tell how the people you work with communicate. It is even difficult to understand why certain people are relevant to your job.

I had these questions too, and early in my career I had no idea that I misinterpreted a lot of the communication that was going on around me. Luckily, I was placed on a project working with a strong project manager who taught me about stakeholder management.

Not only did the process change my perspective about how I should work with people on the project, but I applied the process across my life.

It was a real game-changer for me.

After I started actively managing these relationships, people started to look at me differently. Feedback was more positive.

It felt great to have that part of the puzzle figured out.

You Can Do it Too!

Learning this process will take you only a couple of hours.

The time to apply the process to groups of people you know is up to you. I prioritized the groups of people around me initially to break up the time commitment and give myself time to acclimate to the methodology.

Once you understand how to categorize the various people you engage with, you will establish your communication strategy and approach for working with each person easily.

Adjusting your approach will lead to immediate results with some people and gradual results with others, but you will feel more confident immediately because you have a plan and you are moving forward with intention.

Improve your visibility, confidence, and trajectory through effective stakeholder management today!
